The project aims at improving the school's administrative work and reducing teachers' workload by installing a smart card system with the function of taking attendance for students and teachers, collecting fee payments and library cards.
The project aims at promoting positive life values and respect for others among 800 students of the applicant school through performing drama by each class, organizing subject-based activities like talks, writing competitions, various competitions by Visual Art, Physical Education and Music panel, as well as visits to the community by Parent-Teacher Association, etc. Videos about the drama and recording of project activities will be made as deliverable.
The project aims at establishing a new pedagogical regime for spoken English curriculum that is tailor-made for native Cantonese-speaking primary school children through a series of research activities involving (a) 1,000 primary 5 and 6 students, (b) 50 non-native and 50 native English teachers, and (c) 10 English educators and academics. The project will develop handbook and manual of pronunciation and phonetic analysis.
The project aims at promoting school-based parent education and establishing a network for needy parents so as to enable parents to address the needs of different families. 200 parents from 35 schools will be trained in parent education who in turn will provide parent education in their children's schools. There will be totally 486 sessions of activities benefitting 15000 parents.
The project aims at enhancing students' understanding of the political, economic and social development of China and its relation with the world, promoting civic and moral education and fostering national identity by developing teaching materials on the modules of “Globalization” and “Modern China” in Liberal Studies (LS), organizing seminars and arranging visits for teachers and students as well as establishing a school network.
