The project aims at fostering students' whole person development and empowering teachers' capacity in using drama as learning and teaching strategy through collaborating with the instructor and developing a school-based drama curriculum. 200 K.1 to K.3 and 14 teachers of the applicant school will benefit from the project. The tangible deliverable will be the learning and teaching materials developed.
The project aims at enhancing about 85 kindergarten children's interest and ability in English through implementing an apprenticeship programme among English teachers of the applicant school and organising learning activities like storytelling, rhymes singing, drama and games during English lessons. The learning and teaching resource materials developed are the deliverables of the project.
The project aims at enhancing about 100 young children's language development and enhancing about 12 teachers' professional capacity in fostering language development of children through refining the school-based language curriculum in the applicant school. The refined language curriculum, together with the teaching resource materials developed in the project will be the deliverables.
The project aims at enhancing about 80 kindergarten children's creative thinking, listening skills, concentration, confidence as well as their interest in languages through enhancing teachers' knowledge and skills in implementing drama-in-education activities and developing a creative drama curriculum in the applicant school. A DVD will be produced as the deliverable of the project.
The project aims at enhancing children's healthy development through provision of professional trainings to teachers and parents on knowldege of early identication and intervention of children's problems as well as strategies to help developing children's potentials. 18 teachers and 60 K.1 to K.3 children and their parents of the applicant kindergarten are the target beneficiaries of the project.
