The project aims to develop 270 S3 & S4 students' technical skills, creativity and communication abilities through filmmaking, boost their motivation in learning English, improve their English speaking skills and cultivate their interest in appreciating film, is generally in line with CDI's direction of enhancing students' English proficiency through the use of language arts materials (e.g. film) and developing students' generic skills through team work (e.g filmmaking).
The project aims at nurturing students' thinking skills as well as fostering positive communication and social skills through play-based learning. The deliverables of the project will be the learning and teaching resources.
The project aims to promote student mental wellness in school through the provision of a series of support services for students to facilitate their understanding and management of self; regulating emotions; developing social and emotional skills; and building resilience in order to overcome difficulties and adversity in life. The project beneficiaries include 400 S1 to S6 students (mainly for S1, S2 and S4 students), teachers and parents. The deliverables will include 2-hour training session for teachers and social workers each year and a set of reference material of the personal growth lessons.
