The project aims to raise students' interest in STEM-related subjects and develop their creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills through a school-based STEM education programme. It targets P.1-P.6 (650 students in total), 50 teachers and 60 parents. The deliverable is learning and teaching resource materials.
The project aims at fostering a creative learning environment to supplement the existing school-based Visual Arts (VA) curriculum by revamping a retired school bus into a VA classroom, turning the corridor behind the school hall into the Creative Corridor and converting the school lobby into an Arts exhibition hall.
The project aims at procuring and installing in 31 classrooms interactive display panels and visualizers to replace the existing projectors, AV system and computers with a view to establish a paradigm shift towards student-centred teaching, enhance students' learning interest and facilitate their self-directed learning.
The project aims at enhancing students' motivation and interest in reading through renovating the school library, facilitating theme-based and cross-curricular learning, introducing picture books and drama-in-education pedagogies and providing teachers with training opportunities so that they are more aware of the role of reading in students' learning and development.
The project aims at helping students to develop a sense of gratitude, learn to cherish the things they have; adopt a proactive and optimistic attitude towards life, in order to help them face the challenges and difficulties of growing up.
