The project aims at revising and upgrading a Chinese character database that features philological contents and functions to support education of the Chinese language and script. Major enhancement includes significant extension of the etymological accounts of Chinese characters to cover ALL frequently used characters. The deliverables also include promotion packages for all local secondary and primary schools.
The project aims at providing for 40-60 S4-6 students with special educational needs (SEN) the opportunities to participate in drama activities and stage management training with a view to enhance their employability; through detailed assessment of their vocational skills and experiential learning activities, increase understanding of their own abilities and career aspirations; as well as improve their interpersonal skills, work attitude and capabilities. Major deliverables include a public performance, a talent-based learning package with DVD for SEN students'and a collection of students, parents, teachers and workers' reflection of their experiences in the project.
The project aims at developing the traits in 6 areas of career education (discovery of personal strengths, life motivation, time management, career planning, relationship management and workplace culture) of 600 S.4 or S.5 students of the 3 participating schools as well as their characters through a DISC-based experiential curriculum. The tangible deliverables will be student's DISC handbook, which include student's learning plan and a project handbook.
The project aims at promoting the social-emotional well-being of 408 S.1 to S.2 students in the applicant school through incorporating Positive Psychology into the school-based life education curriculum and organizing training workshops for 80 parents and 100 teachers. The tangible deliverable will be a teaching manual of the programme.
The project aims at building up the positive values of 625 P.4 to P.6 ethnic minority students in the 25 participating schools and promoting their sense of belonging to the schools through a developmental programme using drama techniques. The tangible deliverable will be a teaching kit with lesson plans of the programme.
