The project aims at enhancing students' learning motivation and self-directed learning by promoting the TARGET model among the 58 teachers of the applicant schools through practicing the conceptual features in core subjects namely Chinese Language, Mathematics and English Language at Primary 5 and/or Primary 6 with the training and consultancy support hired from the university academics and uploading of the project materials onto the school website for sharing and dissemination.
The project aims at enhancing the knowledge & skills in effective distributed / multi-level leadership in 13 special schools under the sponsorship of Hong Chi Association through providing leadership and management training programme for 13 principals to improve their leading skills, for 20 vice principals and 70 middle managers to enhance their knowledge and skills in middle management, for 230 frontline teachers to enhance their concept of teacher leadership so that they can work in co-ordination with the school leaders. Deliverables include publishing the collection summarising the programme content and a manual introducing the “Portrait Methodology Approach”, conducting sharing workshops/briefing sessions and establishing a web teacher sharing platform of the action learning plans among the participating schools.
The project aims at providing training for about 100 vice-principals from 55 primary and secondary schools under the sponsorship of CCC to enhance their leadership and human resources management skills; improve their ability to bring about educational change in schools; and strengthen the bonds between primary and secondary schools so as to increase the effectiveness of their schools. The project deliverables such as leadership and management skills are intangible.
