The project aims at enhancing English oral language, phonological awareness, reading skills and learning motivation among the participating Chinese ESL kindergartens as well as the skills and confidence of the participating Cantonese-speaking local teachers in implementing English language and literacy learning activities. The project deliverables include a resource package with a teacher manual and a CD-ROM for distribution to local preschools and a booklet for parents with suggestions on improving home language and literacy support.
The applicant proposes to enhance the national sense of senior secondary students, nurture their creative communication ability and improve teachers' drama teaching skills through the drama on the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong. The project deliverables include 800 copies of teaching handbooks on educational drama and 800 copies of VCD on drama teaching.
The project aims at enhancing the job-related skills of students with Moderate Intellectual Disability (MoID), facilitating them to transit from school life to adulthood and building up self-confidence and positive values through providing job-related skills training for students and organizing voluntary community service for them. For tangible deliverable, a teaching kit for training the students with MoID with job-related skills will be produced.
The project aims at enhancing S.4 to S.6 students' creativity and their job-related skills through developing a school-based curriculum on job-related training (職業技能課), organizing a job placement programme and operating a coffee corner in a community centre. For tangible deliverable, a booklet collecting the students' reflections will be produced.
The project aims at improving students' misbehaviour problems, promoting healthy messages and exploring students' musical potential through organizing music training for 40 S.1 to S.2 students and setting up 6 to 8 groups of musical band. No tangible deliverables will be produced.
