The project aims at promoting low-carbon living and raising the awareness of global warming among kindergarten students and enhancing teachers' professional knowledge in designing school activities through organising professional development programmes for teachers and project learning activities for students. The deliverable of the project will be the information kit developed.
The proposed project aims at nurturing a caring and responsible young generation with strong connectedness to the society and strong desire to serve the community by highest attainment of one of the seven key learning goals: HEALTH. Its objectives are (1) to establish an infrastructure of youth network for scaling up and sustaining health promotion movement in school setting to act in synergy with Life Wide Learning or Other Learning Experience; (2) to empower and support youth leaders to become confident promoters for health and positive values for life not only for themselves, but also their families and community; (3) to pioneer learning platforms for effective practices of positive health promotion and value for life; (4) to conduct research on student empowerment on youth health issues, thus prevent risk behaviours including intentional injuries and promote positive attitudes towards active living; and (5) to provide a platform for career development for students in health and social care. The project will benefit over 21,000 students from 30 schools. The project deliverables include teaching resource materials.
The project aims at promoting environmental education as well as nurturing students' positive values and attitudes through organising a series of activities on environmental protection in Hong Kong and a study trip to Taiwan for 40 P5 to P6 students. The deliverables include students' presentations, newsletter articles and board exhibition of the trip and learning and teaching materials of environmental education.
The proposed project aims at enhancing teachers' knowledge and skills in designing comprehensive physical activities which are delivered through games. Relevant parent education programmes are also planned accordingly so as to promote the importance of physical development of children. Learning and teaching materials will be the deliverable of the project.
