The project aims at nurturing the moral and civic development of around 2,300 S4 to S6 students from 10 collaborating secondary schools through organizing structural learning activities in Cultural Education to investigate the cultural and regional characteristics of some selected districts. Field studies, workshops, interviews, writing and art creation exercises and photography activities will be included in the project. Relevant teaching materials, collection and exhibition of students' work and a website containing the teaching materials produced will be the project's deliverables.
The project aims at nurturing the creativity, high order thinking skills and interpersonal skills of around 900 students of the applicant school through implementing a gifted education program which includes teacher training, trial application of gifted educational strategies in classroom teaching and various interest classes. School-based teaching resources in gifted education and a publication recording the good work of students will be the project's tangible deliverables.
The project aims at enhancing the physical and mental health of the 1100 students of the applicant school through establishing a physical fitness training area in the campus, enriching the existing PE curriculum with elements of fitness training and organizing a variety of relevant activities to different stakeholders. A newly established fitness room and enriched school-based P.E curriculum will be the project deliverable.
The project aims at strengthening the teaching effectiveness of subject teachers of the applicant school through conducting an action research on Instructional Leadership which include lesson observation, teaching plan design and peer evaluation. The report on action research conducted in the project to be uploaded onto the school website will be the project deliverable.
The project aims at verifying the relationship between Dialogic Reading (DR) and parent-child relationship through conducting a research study with pretest, posttest and relevant parent training to around 200 parents of primary students. Publication in a well-known academic journal will be the project deliverable.
