The project aims at promoting career education and development in 30 secondary schools through a school-based peer career counselling intervention model with a total of 300 senior form students trained up as peer counsellors each coaching a group of 5 junior form schoolmates as well as assisting in the whole-school career-related events and activities. The tangible deliverable includes the production of a sytematic self-directed career peer guidance and counselling training package and manual.
The project aims at promoting Chinese art and culture through structured 3-year training of Cantonese Opera for groups of S1 / S2 / S3 students in the 2 participating PLK secondary schools, arousing their interest and enhancing their appreciation towards Cantonese Opera and developing a 3-year structured curriculum program for secondary students to learn and master the basic skills of Cantonese Opera performance. Deliverable includes the development of a 3-year structured curriculum program for secondary students to learn and master the basic skills of Cantonese Opera performance.
The project aims at empowering, enriching and enabling principals and teacher leaders in 100 kindergartens including 50 Project Kindergartens and 50 Associate Kindergartens with leadership knowledge and skills to review the school context and curriculum for improvement in strategic planning and curriculum decision. Research findings and a website to build up a professional network for sharing school-based leadership & curriculum practices will be the tangible deliverables.
The project aims at developing an e-learning platform with a mental health preventive and promotion program (with 5 e-learning modules) for strengthening the psychological functioning, social functioning and coping skills of P4-5 students in 25-30 participating primary schools. Development of a web-based platform involving multi-media production (eg. musical execution, video clips and animation) is the tangible deliverable. The Teacher Manual and Student Manual will also be published.
The project aims at developing students' creativity in composing music and enhancing music teachers' skills in teaching and assessing music composition by providing music composition training programme for 360 Primary 5 to Secondary 3 students and 18 music teachers from 18 schools of 18 districts. The project deliverable will be a teaching manual for music composition in the context of cultural exploration for distribution to primary and secondary schools as reference. A dissemination seminar will also be organized for this purpose.
