The project aims at developing students' understanding of contemporary Chinese Culture and enhancing their creativity and critical thinking through organizing activities to engage a total of 3,500 students from 10 primary and secondary schools in appreciation and criticism of animated films and providing training workshops for 30-35 teachers. The applicant will produce a training manual (in both printed and electronic forms), notes and worksheets for conducting the project activities and helping teachers to sustain similar activities in the schools. DVDs of project activities will also be produced.
The project aims at enhancing teachers' assessment literacy and students' learning interests in General Studies (G.S.) by further developing online assessment tasks with performance indicators under 18 G.S. topics. in 18 PLK primary schools.
The project aims at developing a computer-based Theory of Mind (ToM) instructional program for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) from 21 ordinary and special schools to enhance their generalisation skills.
The project aims at arousing the interest in English Language learning of the 150 F.2 students of the applicant school through organizing training workshops for the F.2 English Language teachers, implementing an English drama programme in the F.2 curriculum and producing English musical performances. Teaching materials on drama and musical training as well as a DVD of the English musical performances will be produced as tangible deliverables.
The project aims at enhancing the teaching and learning effectiveness of General Studies (GS) at the applicant school through developing and producing new GS teaching / assessment materials which will be used in the GS lessons and be uploaded to the school's website for dissemination.
