The project aims at cultivating the social sense and nurturing the self-learning and generic skills of 320 P4 to P5 students from 10 primary schools located at Tin Shui Wai through organizing a project learning activities on heritage studies for them. A website and a relevant publication will be the project's outcomes.
The project aims at nurturing the generic skills and strengthening the connection between learning and daily life of about 950 P1 to P6 students of the applicant school through implementing a school-based humanity curriculum focusing on the development of Tai Po, at where the school located. The curriculum includes multi-faceted activities such as heritage site visit, service learning, art creation, project learning, etc. Relevant teaching and learning materials about the newly developed curriculum will be the project outcomes.
The project aims at nurturing students with tradition Chinese values through introduction of Lunyu (《論語》) in the learning and teaching of National Education in 2 participating primary schools and 2 participating secondary schools. Drama Education would be adopted as the major teaching method to arouse the interest of students in learning Lunyu. Teachers' training, lesson co-planning and observation between teachers and experts, lesson plan design, etc, will be conducted during the project period. A publication which embodies theories, teaching methods and around 20 teaching plans in applying drama education in learning and teaching of Lunyu will be the deliverable of the project.
The project aims at providing structural life education courses and activities to help students of the applicant school to establish positive and proactive life values and face life challenges in future. The project deliverables include teaching packages for distribution to all kindergartens in Hong Kong.
The project aims at elevating the quality of Independent Enquiry Study (IES), one of the modules in the Senior Secondary Liberal Studies (LS) curriculum, among 800 students of 4 secondary schools through scaffolded experiential learning approach, in an IES learning game, followed by integrating the new elements generated in the game with the LS curriculum of the 4 participating schools. A project handbook comprising ready-to-use IES game resources, teacher's facilitation strategies and an IES learning model will be produced as tangible deliverable.
