The project aims at promoting family harmony, healthy lifestyle and morality of the 1,215 students and their parents in the 10 kindergartens under Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) Pre-school Education Department through a series of activities around Family Wellness Vitamins (家庭健康維他命) of (i) Vitamin S (Spiritual well-being 連繫信念), (ii) Vitamin C (Commitment 責任承擔), and (iii) Vitamin R (Resilience 家庭抗逆力). The deliverables will include (i) handbook 「家庭健康」表現指標, (ii) manual「家庭健康維他命」計劃指南, (iii) activity records「我們這一家活動紀錄冊」, and (iv) chess game 「家庭健康維他命親子遊戲棋」.
The project aims at fostering students' creative and aesthetic development and empowering teachers' capacity in aesthetic education through organising creative arts activities for students and developing a school-based drama curriculum in collaboration with a Visual Arts instructor. 120 aged from 2 to 6 and 9 teachers of the applicant school will benefit from the project. The tangible deliverable will be the learning and teaching materials developed and a collection of students' work.
The project aims at providing guidance for about 100 K3 children with or suspected to have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from 12 kindergartens and equips them with various life skills for transition to primary school life. Guidance resource material 「突破~成長」自閉學童升小綜合支援計劃資源分享冊」and a DVD are the tangible deliverables of the project.
The project aims at developing pre-primary Chinese Language Learning Progression Framework (LPF) on listening and speaking skills to foster Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) students' learning of the Chinese Language and cater for their learning diversity. An application software of LPF will be developed to facilitate assessment for learning.
The project aims at fostering the positive attitude of the younger generation towards love and sex, and training teachers and parents to be their mentors in love and sex education. The proposed project will design interactive activities on love and sex education for senior primary (P.4 to P.6) to junior secondary students(S.1 to S.3) of 17 primary schools and 9 secondary schools to enhance their self-respect, understanding of gender, responsibilities towards their lovers, ability to get alone with the opposite sex and nurture their mature and responsible attitude towards love and sex. A thematic website, DVDs of 12 educational video clips and a book on case studies as teaching resources will be the project deliverables.
