The project aims at enhancing students' creative and aesthetic development, enhancing teachers' knowledge and skills in devising creative arts activities and encouraging parental involvement in creative arts activities for children through developing a school-based aesthetic education programme and providing training workshops for teachers and parents. 105 students aged from 2 to 6, 8 teachers and 100 parents of the applicant school will benefit from the project. The tangible deliverable will be the collection of students' work.
The project aims at developing the understanding of K.1 to K.3 students of the applicant school on the concepts of space and direction through thematic teaching. The tangible deliverables will be the learning and teaching materials and DVD to be produced.
The project aims at improving the learning of Chinese of 30 S.1 to S.3 non-Chinese speaking (NCS) students of the applicant school through drama education. The tangible deliverables will be the learning and teaching materials to be produced, a drama performance and a DVD.
The project aims at enhancing children's interest to explore the nature and their awareness of environmental protection through various authentic activities such as visits, outdoor drawing, parent-child experiential activity and teacher training workshop. 115 aged 2-6 children, 12 teachers and 230 parents of the applicant kindergarten are the target beneficiaries of the project.
The project aims at arousing interest in learning, enhancing communication ability and the spirit of exploration of about 300 kindergarten students through implementing the 'Question-Experience-Exploration' (問題-經驗-探索) strategy in K1 – K3 lessons. A CD which include video excerpts and photos of children's learning or a booklet which include the feelings of parents and students about the project will be produced in the project.
