The project aims at enhancing the English learning motivation of junior secondary students of three secondary schools through enhancing about 60 English teachers' competence in using IT tools to enhance learning and teaching effectiveness, promoting collaboration between English teachers and developing ideas of best practices with the use of tablets to support English learning. An ebook including lesson plans, video clips of a class in action and reflections from teachers and ideas of best practice will be produced in the project.
The project aims at empowering 32 primary teachers to use the principles of brain-based learning in the classroom to help students learn in different subjects through hiring a service provider to organise training workshops and to conduct class observation and post lesson evaluation for teachers. The deliverables of the project will be the brain-based learning and teaching materials.
The proposed project aims at helping 135 P4 students cultivate their interest and appreciation of Calligraphy through organising school-based Calligraphy lessons and parent-child workshop in collaboration with a Calligraphy instructor. The deliverables of the project will be (i) the learning and teaching materials of Calligraphy; (ii) teaching packages of Calligraphy; and (iii) students' work of Calligraphy.
The project aims at sustaining the impact of the previous project (2013/0089 Chinese History and Culture Academy:200 years of Modern China (1800-2000)) by deepening the cognition of primary and secondary students in Chinese History and Culture as well as Western Culture, and enhancing their interest in learning more about our country and sense of belonging to our motherland.
