The project aims to use a longitudinal approach to investigate the influence of participating in sports/ physical activities (PA) on academic performance. Change in physical fitness will also be assessed as a secondary measure. The outcome of the study will serve as an important reference for schools, teachers, parents and students to help enhance their awareness on the effect of participation in physical activities. The tangible deliverables will include a report and press release on the project findings.
The project aims at nurturing the creativity, science research skills as well as self-directed learning ability of 30 S1- S3 students through developing and implementing a science research programme in the applicant school and enhancing professional capacity of three science teachers to facilitate Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning of students. There will be no tangible deliverable produced in the project.
The project aims at enhancing kindergarten students' interests and creativity in Arts, as well as their observation and expression skills through organising training workshops for teachers and school-based creative art activities for kindergarten students. The deliverables of the project will be a DVD recording of the project activities and students' art work.
The project aims at developing an e-learning platform involving an integration of three elements, namely a re-designed school-based junior secondary Integrated Humanities (IH) curriculum, the use of mobile devices, and the school's existing interactive learning platform called iLAP.
The project aims at enquiring into enhancing the Chinese culture learning and the reading ability in Chinese language among the 160 S1 students of 2 collaborating schools through close reading of complex texts (細讀複雜的文本). Relevant teaching materials including assessment tools and criteria will be produced as the tangible deliverables.
