The project aims at enhancing children's interest in the nature and cultivating them with civic responsibility and awareness on environmental protection through various authentic activities such as planting activities, visits, outdoor play, parent-child experiential activity and teacher training workshop. 100 aged 2-6 children, 10 teachers and 150 parents of the applicant kindergarten are the target beneficiaries of the project.
The project aims at enhancing about 90 young children's interest in reading and language development through developing and implementing a reading curriculum in the applicant kindergarten. The reading curriculum together with the resource materials developed, are the deliverables of the project.
The project aims at enhancing about 9 teachers' understanding of the design of school-based curriculum and their skills in tailoring and implementing the school-based curriculum through providing professional training, organising collaborative lesson planning meetings and peer lesson observations for teachers of the applicant school. The learning and teaching materials developed will be the deliverables of the project.
The project aims at enhancing about 86 kindergarten children's interest and ability in English through implementing an apprenticeship programme among English teachers of the applicant school and organising learning activities like storytelling, rhymes singing, drama and games during English lessons. The learning and teaching resource materials developed are the deliverables of the project.
The project aims at enhancing about 200 kindergarten students' communication and thinking abilities, as well as developing their positive values and attitude through implementing a 'creative drama in education programme for kindergarten children' in the applicant school. The resource materials, DVD and an exhibition of the creative drama activities organised are the deliverables of the project.
