The project aims at promoting self-directed learning skills of about 500 S1-S6 students in the context of Chinese Language, as well as enhancing their Chinese literacy and self-confidence through developing and implementing a school-based Chinese Language curriculum. The deliverables of the project will be the resource package for developing self-directed learning ability among students and an online evaluation platform.
The project aims at improving effectiveness of non-Chinese speaking (NCS) students in learning Chinese Language through the development of vocabulary e-flash cards for tablet PCs.
The project aims at facilitating the learning of mathematics, science and technology of N.1 to K.3 students of the applicant school through refining learning and teaching in learning corners. The tangible deliverables will be the learning and teaching materials to be produced.
The project aims at alleviating the problem of obesity of 10 students of the applicant school through a school-based weight reduction programme. The tangible deliverable will be the video clips of the weight reduction process of individuals to be uploaded onto the website of Chinese University of Hong Kong and a publication with project highlights to be distributed to other schools in the same district.
The project aims at fostering the physcial development and whole language learning of 40 K.1-K.3 children through physcial exercises and activities. Pamphlets explaining the significance of physical play and providing information on physical activities for children and parents will be produced.
