The project aims at enhancing students' understanding of the political, economic and social development of China and its relation with the world, promoting civic and moral education and fostering national identity by developing teaching materials on the modules of “Globalization” and “Modern China” in Liberal Studies (LS), organizing seminars and arranging visits for teachers and students as well as establishing a school network.
The project aims at benchmarking the computer and information literacy (CIL) skills of Hong Kong students at Grade 4 and Grade 8 and the pedagogical use of ICT in Hong Kong classrooms using the international comparative data in the International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS) under the auspices of the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA).
The project aims at promoting the sense of national belonging and enhancing the writing skills of Secondary 4 to 6 students from about 36 schools using the historical story of revolutionary activities in China through drama appreciation, interactive workshops for teachers and students, and drama script writing. The project proposes to produce a set of drama scripts written by students and a DVD recording their drama shows in schools.
