The QEF Thematic Network was initiated in 2006 to disseminate good practices derived from QEF projects and promote professional sharing through networking different schools and educational bodies. The QTN aims at facilitating participating schools to develop school-based modular STEM curriculum and teaching materials featuring Micro:bit, aided by the Coordinator’s sharing of experience. Teachers would be empowered in regard to STEM education through joining workshops, curriculum planning meetings, and etc., so as to enhance professional development and network discussions. While students experience the delights of programming and product design from using Micro:bit, their creativity and collaboration skills would also be cultivated.
QEF Thematic Network on Whole School Curriculum Planning on STEM (2019/20)

The QTN aims at establishing a cross school network, enhancing teachers’ professional capacity in planning and implementing school-based STEM curriculum. Through hands-on and minds-on exploratory activities in General Studies lessons, to develop students’ capabilities to integrate and apply knowledge and skills. By reinforcing the design cycle to cultivate students’ creativity. Provide opportunities for students to apply coding in order to develop students’ computational thinking skill.
QEF Thematic Network on Implementing 'Computational Thinking' and 'STEM Education' in KS2 by Two Approaches (2019/20)

The project is intended to promote "computational thinking" and "STEM education" through mathematics learning activities or interdisciplinary activities in Key Stage Two. Teachers who participate in the project can apply the concept of computing thinking and improve the teaching ability of information technology. In addition, through the project to build a professional community, promote a cross-school professional development culture.
QEF Thematic Network on “Promoting Wellness in School” (2019/20)

The QTN on “Developing Students’ Positive Attitudes and Value” was established in 2014/15 school year to develop and promote evidence-based practices for developing students’ positive attitudes and values in both primary and secondary schools. With the continued support of QEF in the 2019/2020 school year, a three-stage framework is adopted to further promote and extend wellness education to also kindergartens. Ultimately, the project aims to transform all participating schools into wellbeing-first schools, where the holistic welling of students will be a top priority.
