The QEF Thematic Network was initiated in 2006 to disseminate good practices derived from QEF projects and promote professional sharing through networking different schools and educational bodies. The QTN aims at enhancing teachers’ capability in planning and implementing STEM activities, expanding professional exchange network and encouraging professional exchange among schools. Through making use of Makeblock mBot in inquiry activities of primary General Studies (GS), students' ability in scientific and technological investigation could be enhanced. On the other hand, learning and teaching of astronomy in GS could be improved through using tablets and conducting hands on activities.
QEF Thematic Network on Balanced Development of Mind and Hands through STEM Education (2017-2019)

The QTN aims at enhancing the teachers’ capacity in adopting model-building and information technology in developing the school-based STEM curriculum and related pedagogies for the betterment of their students’ development in self-directed learning.
QEF Thematic Network on Information Literacy Networking Programme (2017-2019)

The QTN aims at developing and optimising the e-Learning platform, teaching material, e-portfolio and assessment system for enhancing learning and teaching based on the eight core areas (i.e. Define, Access, Evaluate, Manage, Integrate, Create, Communicate and Ethical Use) of the Information Literacy framework.
QEF Thematic Network on CreaSTEMtivity in Primary and Secondary Schools (2018 – 2021)

The QTN aims at promoting and implementing STEM education for primary school (General Studies) and secondary school (Computer Literacy). Through making use of Micro:bit, we could enhance students’ knowledge and concepts, generic skills, values and attitudes relevant to each Key Learning Area. On the other hand, we will expand a professional exchange network and encourage professional exchange among schools.
QTN on English Language (Primary) (2013-2018)

The QEF Thematic Network (QTN) on English Language (Primary) was established in the 2013/14 school year. The project aims to establish a school network to enhance English language abilities of primary school learners. Through different trainings such as workshops and lesson observations, teachers’ professionalism is enhanced. Teachers can use different strategies on reading, phonics and drama, etc in the learning and teaching of English.
