This QTN aims at familiarising teachers with the use of tools and equipment through a series of regular workshops so as to facilitate their planning and setting up of school-based STEMaker space. Through carrying out a series of lesson observations, STEMaker curriculum will be developed or deepened. The project will be delivered in four stages, i.e. Learning, Planning, Consolidation and Development stages. New participating schools will undergo a one-year programme so as to finish all the four stages.
Arts & Technology Education Centre and the Quality Education Fund jointly organised this sharing session. The aim of the activity was to share the experiences gained from the implementation of General Studies (Technology) in primary schools and Design and Technology in secondary schools in Hong Kong. These included the difficulties they met and the suggested solutions for problems encountered.
