Quality Education Fund Thematic Networks - Schools (QTN-S)
This programme is the continuation of the Professional Development Schools Scheme financed by the Education Development Fund. Schools with exemplary practices in learning and teaching and a good sharing culture will form a network with participating schools, focusing mainly on specific pedagogical themes to promote inter-school collaboration and professional exchange through various exchange activities.Promoting STEM Education through Developing Cross-curricular Learning Activities According to the Curriculum (2020/21)

To enhance teachers’ capacity in designing and implementing cross-curricular activities on STEM education so as to strengthen the coherence and collaboration among teachers of the Science, Technology and Mathematics Education KLAs to promote the development of STEM education;
To enhance teachers’ capacity in consolidating students' subject knowledge through activities and unleashing their potential in innovation;
To enhance teachers’ capacity in developing the ability of students to integrate and apply their knowledge and skills across different subject disciplines for problem solving, as well as cultivating their interests in subjects related to STEM education.
Practising STEM Education in General Studies to Enhance the Effectiveness of Students' Learning of Science, Technology and Mathematics (2020/21)

To enhance teachers’ teaching skills of STEM education, e.g. prediction, inquiry, observation, conclusion and fair test;
To facilitate teachers to design student learning portfolios so as to enhance the learning effectiveness of students in STEM education and to enhance students’ reflection and self-management skills using the learning portfolio as an assessment tool;
To establish an interactive professional learning community that allows teachers’ mutual sharing of their experience of lesson design and teaching;
To facilitate the consolidation and adaptation of the school-based General Studies curriculum in the Participating Schools.
Constructing Mathematical Concepts and Fostering Students' Attitude Regarding Self-directed Learning through Enquiry Learning (2020/21)

Catering for Learner Diversity and Special Educational Needs through the Use of Diversified Learning and Teaching Strategies and Learning Progression Framework (2020/21)

To implement multi-dimensional pedagogical and assessment strategies in core subjects with reference to the Learning Progression Framework to record students’ performance, so as to promote the effectiveness of learning and teaching;
To enhance the learning effectiveness of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by refining the school-based curriculum and assessment accommodations that cater for their learning needs;
To enrich the pedagogical strategies and skills of teachers to teach SEN students;
To help Participating Schools develop and promote school-based and multiple assessment strategies so as to cater for learner diversity.
