Enhancement of Children's Storytelling Through 'Picture Books Teaching'
The project aims at enhancing about 120 young children's interest in reading and language ability through enhancing the professional capacity of 9 teachers by providing them with training in the effective use of picture books and storytelling techniques, establishing a collaborative lesson planning team and engaging team members in peer lesson observations. Children will be encouraged to write stories and present their stories in the form of drama. The stories will be recorded in various forms of media. The learning and teaching resource package developed and a multi-media publication of stories created by children will be the deliverables of the project.
