Quality Education Fund Thematic Network – Designated Themes (QTN-DT) Projects (since the 2025/26 school year)

This project aims at supporting kindergarten teachers to promote national education and foster the whole-person development of children through education on our country’s history and values education. The support foci include enhancing children’s understanding of the rule of law and current affairs of our country, as well as the importance of safeguarding national security, through topics such as national security education and Chinese culture. Additionally, the project seeks to strengthen children’s sense of national identity.

This project aims at supporting primary and secondary school teachers in fostering students’ national identity and boosting their sense of pride, identity, and belonging to the nation through strengthening elements of Chinese culture, Chinese history, national security and values education in teaching classical Chinese texts. The support foci include promoting national education through the study of classical Chinese texts and developing diversified learning and teaching strategies to increase students’ interest and learning motivation. The project also provides relevant learning and teaching resources (such as animations and mini-games) to enhance students’ learning interest and encourage self-directed learning.

This project aims at supporting primary school teachers in promoting national education and enhancing their professional competence of learning and teaching on the related theme. Support foci include deepening teachers’ understanding on national education, creating innovative and creative learning and teaching materials aligned with the Primary Humanities, fostering students’ cultural confidence and national identity, and improving the effectiveness of national education through life-wide learning activities.
