The project aims at providing training for about 100 teachers, who are middle management, from about 40 kindergartens (mainly under the sponsorship of The HK Council of the of the Church of Christ in China (CCC) to enhance their leadership and management skills. Deliverables will include the (i) development of handbook for kindergarten teachers as middle managers, and (ii) formation of a network of kindergarten teachers as middle managers among the participating schools.
The project aims at enhancing about 9 teachers' understanding of the design of school-based curriculum and their skills in tailoring and implementing the school-based curriculum through providing professional training, organising collaborative lesson planning meetings and peer lesson observations for teachers of the applicant school. The learning and teaching materials developed will be the deliverables of the project.
The project aims at implementing school-based moral and civic education for P.1 to P.6 students of the 25 schools under the Hong Kong Council of the Church of Christ in China (CCC) by strengthening the values of “showing concerns and love” in the curriculum. A teaching package with worksheets, teacher reference book, e-book and teaching tools will be developed as project deliverables which can also be used by all schools in Hong Kong.
The project aims at providing training for about 100 vice-principals from 55 primary and secondary schools under the sponsorship of CCC to enhance their leadership and human resources management skills; improve their ability to bring about educational change in schools; and strengthen the bonds between primary and secondary schools so as to increase the effectiveness of their schools. The project deliverables such as leadership and management skills are intangible.
