The project aims at promoting students' awareness and transmission of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) in support of Liberal Studies and Other Learning Experiences through organising briefing seminars for 40 secondary schools and a series of training workshops for students and teachers of the entries teams in the ICH competitions, as well as 15 thematic talks and 1 carnival on ICH which are also open to the public; and arranging 40 community services for students to promote ICH to the elderly and young children; thereby, 10 sets of teaching manuals will be generated and uploaded onto a project website.
The project aims at facilitating the learning of Chinese of 40 ethnic minority students (non-Chinese speaking school children) studying in 4 different kindergartens in Tin Shui Wai through organizing various activities including Chinese reading, writing, listening and speaking classes, parent workshops and teacher trainings etc.
The project aims at fostering the moral development, communication skills and sense of responsibility of 90 pre-primary pupils of 3 kindergartens through holding students' activities relating to civic education and creative art. Relevant teaching resources in civic education and creative art will be the project outcome.
The project aims at developing the knowledge and skills of enquiry study and 'broadcast' among 432 S3-5 students and 48 Liberal Studies teachers of the 24 schools participating in regional/community exploration activities such as briefing seminars and guided historical/cultural tours for the student teams, follow up workshops on supervisory skills in social survey for teacher mentors, workshops/competition on broadcast skills and enquiry studies for student teams and disseminating the competition entries in the form of publication/CDs.
