The proposed project aims at nurturing students to be life-long learners of STEAM as well as fostering their creativity and problem-solving skills through STEAM-related learning activities, scientific research and project learning.
To enhance teachers’ capacity in designing and implementing cross-curricular activities on STEM education so as to strengthen the coherence and collaboration among teachers of the Science, Technology and Mathematics Education KLAs to promote the development of STEM education;
To enhance teachers’ capacity in consolidating students' subject knowledge through activities and unleashing their potential in innovation;
To enhance teachers’ capacity in developing the ability of students to integrate and apply their knowledge and skills across different subject disciplines for problem solving, as well as cultivating their interests in subjects related to STEM education.
The project aims at nurturing the creativity, science research skills as well as self-directed learning ability of 30 S1- S3 students through developing and implementing a science research programme in the applicant school and enhancing professional capacity of three science teachers to facilitate Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning of students. There will be no tangible deliverable produced in the project.
The project aims at enhancing and cultivating the generic skills and positive values among 50 selected P.4-6 students at the applicant school through developing and implementing a school-based 'pull-out' leadership programme ('抽離式資優領袖課程'). Tools for identifying gifted students in higher-order thinking skills, creativity, problem solving and leadership skills and resource package of the 'pull-out' leadership programme will be produced as the tangible deliverables.
