The project strives to build a community of practice (CoP) to support mathematics teachers to adopt 5E inquiry-based learning model and mathematics visualization learning tools, which helps students to develop mathematics concepts and procedural knowledge. Through on-going practice and professional sharing in the CoP, teachers are empowered to create an ideal digital classroom for seamless learning, thereby facilitating students to apply e-learning applications and communication platforms to construct mathematical knowledge. The project makes use of the lesson plans and teaching materials of the collaborating schools to create a cloud-based repository, which is accessible to all local primary schools.
The project aims at developing lower primary students' coding knowledge and problem solving skills as well as exploring the pedagogy and assessment strategies to be adopted in coding activities through conducting coding activities and a research study.
The project aims at introducing the concept of Flipped Classroom to facilitate the paradigm shift in learning and teaching through conducting an action research.
The project aims at promoting a model of silent reading for provoking students to read in an enjoyable and extensive manner, and providing teacher development for inspiring teachers to become role model of silent reading, through the provision of a localized game-based learning platform “Bookstore of Tomorrow” and an online Reading Community of Tomorrow with inter-school sharing visits and experiences sharing among collaborating schools.
The project aims at building a Community of Practice (CoP) which promotes the use of cognitive tools and communication platforms in digital classrooms for Mathematics concept development by teachers in the senior primary school sector.
