  • Pre-primary Education (19 Jun 2012)

  • The Quality Education Fund (QEF) commissioned the Centre for University and School Partnership of the Chinese University of Hong Kong to conduct a research on “Consolidation and Redevelopment Work on QEF Pre-primary Education (Whole-person Development) Projects” with a view to consolidating practices of the funded QEF projects on pre-primary education (whole-person development). The selected projects covered a wide range of developmental focus including music, drama, art, physical development, green living, language, sex education, national education, support to the special educational needs, etc. It was also found that schools / organisations had great passion and commitment in providing children with enriched learning experiences even for those with special educational needs. A sharing session was organised to disseminate the research findings, and for schools to share their experiences.

  • QEF Thematic Network on Positive Education for Whole Child Development (2020/21)

  • The QTN aims at encouraging schools to promote positive education and culture so as to cultivate a positive attitude among children towards learning and life; assisting schools to strengthen home-school co-operation to foster whole child development; and promoting professional sharing through networking different schools for capacity building of teachers and schools, which will lay a foundation for the establishment of school network for sustainable development in the future.

  • The QEF Thematic Network (QTN) on Kindergarten Education (Whole-person Development) was established in the 2012/13 school year. The project aims to establish a school network on kindergarten education (whole-person development) for capacity building of teachers and whole-person development of children.

QEF Thematic Network

  • Development of Curriculum Leaders for Quality Pre-primary Education

  • The project aims at empowering, enriching and enabling principals and teacher leaders in 100 kindergartens including 50 Project Kindergartens and 50 Associate Kindergartens with leadership knowledge and skills to review the school context and curriculum for improvement in strategic planning and curriculum decision. Research findings and a website to build up a professional network for sharing school-based leadership & curriculum practices will be the tangible deliverables.
