Privacy & Copyright

The Quality Education Fund (QEF) is concerned to ensure that sensitive personal data submitted through the QEF Cyber Resource Centre (QCRC) are handled in strict adherence to the relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

When you make an online order, personal data such as your name, contact phone number, email address and delivery address will be collected to process the order. Your credit card number, its expiry date and other payment details will be handled directly by the online payment service provider. Your personal data, verified through the Extended Validation Standard (EV) SSL certificate encryption technology transactions, will be securely transferred to the acquiring bank and credit card companies for real-time transaction authorization. In addition, individual credit card centers will provide additional security checks to support the confirmation on the order.

When a user visits the QCRC, the visit record will only be considered as a “hit” and no personal identifiable information will be collected. The “hit” information is to allow the QEF to compile general statistics to show the number of visitors to the website.

Our general policy is to disclose no personal identifiable information to third parties except as required by law.

The QEF may use information collected to send emails for the purpose of disseminating the QEF activities and products. If you do not wish to receive further promotional emails, please inform the QEF at qefenq@edb.gov.hk.

The content available on this website and the products developed from all projects sponsored by the Quality Education Fund (QEF), including but not limited to all texts, graphics, drawings, diagrams, photographs and compilation of data or other materials are protected by copyright. To facilitate a wider dissemination of good educational practices, the QEF would have no objection to users’ making reference to the materials or part of the materials on this website and the products of QEF projects, provided that the QEF is duly acknowledged and that the use is for educational and non-commercial purposes.
